Admission of External Transfer Students
Transfer students begin the admission process by submitting a Transfer Application for Admission to the SMU Office of Admissions by April 1 for the fall semester and November 1 for the spring semester. The SMU Office of Admissions works with all transfer applicants on questions related to admission and scholarships. While each school or department within SMU makes the final determination if a course can be accepted for transfer credit, the SMU Office of Admission assists with this process, and can also answer many basic questions about the transfer of courses.
