Information for High School Students

One of the simplest things that high school students can do to ensure that they are considered for the BBA Scholars Program and business scholarships is to list a business major as their first academic interest on the SMU Application for Admission or the Common Application. The only applicants considered for the BBA Scholars Program and business scholarships are those who have clearly indicated their interest in business!

High school students who are interested in obtaining a BBA from Southern Methodist University work with SMU’s Office of Admissions to complete their SMU application for admission and for general admission questions. First-year applicants with no prior college work should submit the SMU Application for Admission to the Office of Admission by November 1 (early action) or January 15 (regular decision). For additional information on first-year admission, contact the SMU Office of Admission.

The BBA Admission Office is also available to answer any questions you may have about the business school's admission process.  We participate in university recruiting programs, and often travel to visit high schools and participate in college fairs.  Check here to see if we'll be coming to your city in the next few weeks, or let us know when you're coming to Dallas.  We'd love to meet you!  Contact BBA Admission at bbaadmission@mail.cox.smu.edu or call 214-768-1110 if you have questions about visiting the Cox School of Business.
