Concentrations and Minors
PMBA students have 28 credit hours of elective courses which provide opportunity to either go in great depth on an academic area of interest or add to your breadth of knowledge base. All students enter the program assigned the default concentration of General Business. Students can make changes to their declared concentration each March and October as well as when you file for graduation.
PMBA students have one concentration which is printed on your official transcript however specializations do not. Specializations serve as a guide to what courses to take for your interest area within a given concentration and can be included on your resume as you deem appropriate.
Note that your diploma ONLY has your degree, MBA, listed; there are no concentrations.
Watch videos of SMU Cox Department Chairs explaining their respective concentrations by selecting the appropriate department.
