Richard Alm

Richard Alm has more than 25 years of experience as a business writer and editor. His duties include writing articles, reports and books based on research conducted at the O’Neil Center.

Alm covered the national economy while working for U.S. News & World Report in Washington, D.C.  He wrote about the national and Texas economies, international business and sports business as a reporter and columnist for The Dallas Morning News.  He spent six years as senior economics writer for the Federal Reserve Bank of Dallas. He is co-author, with W. Michael Cox, of Myths of Rich and Poor.

Alm graduated from Florida State University in 1973 and earned a master’s degree in journalism from the University of Kansas in 1979.
