You may have heard of the 4P’s of Marketing (Product, Price, Place, Promotion)! To achieve excellence, SMU-Cox marketing department has adopted the following 4 R’s as its operational philosophy:

Here is how we implement our 4R’s philosophy in the BBA program:

  • Resourceful students – Students self select to major in marketing based on their passion and skill set. We guide their decision making through information sessions and one-on-one counseling. We also offer six proficiency awards to marketing seniors.
  • Relevant curriculum – We offer a tiered curriculum consisting of foundation, pillar and proficiency courses to enable students to be both well rounded as well as gain knowledge in their specific areas of interest. We have added an internship requirement that further enhances the value of the curriculum.
  • Reputed faculty; Many of our faculty receive teaching excellence awards regularly. The best selling BBA marketing textbook is written by a Cox marketing professor.
  • Rewarding careers. Our students are hired for advertising, brand management, consulting, retailing and various marketing positions both within Dallas and all over U.S.
