SMU Cox created the Women’s Economics and Finance Series in 1972 to pursue the following objectives:

  • Provide women with a timely and meaningful finance and investment education
  • Raise funds for the Cox School to endow a finance professorship
  • Provide a supervised, full-credit course for outstanding SMU Cox students to actively manage real funds

Participation in this series supports the investment management experience of Cox graduate and undergraduate students enrolled in portfolio practicum classes.
