SMU-in-Plano

The Cox School’s Plano location combines the convenience of a North Dallas location with the quality of a Cox education.

Located in Legacy Business Park off Tennyson Parkway in Plano, the campus is set on 16 landscaped acres with four buildings and nearly 200,000 square feet of space. The facility features more than 50 custom-designed classrooms, seminar spaces, and computer labs. An additional nine acres adjacent to the facility give SMU-in-Plano room to grow in the future.

SMU-in-Plano opened in 1997 with three goals:

  • Extend SMU’s reach to meet the educational needs of residents in rapidly growing Collin County.
  • Make it easier for working professionals to earn advanced degrees and certifications.
  • Collaborate with area businesses and design programs that tap into the resources of the entire University.

Today, more than 3,000 adults enroll in SMU-in-Plano’s graduate courses and professional development programs. In addition, nearly 1,000 children participate each year in summer programs designed to enhance academic skills.
