SMU Cox School of Business Spends a Day with the New York Stock Exchange

SMU Cox School of Business and NYSE Euronext (NYX) have quite a few things in common including longevity, excellence in rankings and a fervent passion for investing in the future.
SMU Cox served as the perfect venue for the kick-off of NYSE Insights — an executive speakers series featuring NYX's senior management members at various college campuses and local business organizations.
The day started with a visit by Duncan Niederauer, NYSE Euronext CEO, and Cox alumnus Marty Flanagan, president & CEO, Invesco (NYSE: IVZ), to a Cox portfolio practicum class. The visit set the tone for the rest of the day, aligning with what NYSE Insights is all about: putting students in direct contact with the minds behind today's business movers and game-changers for a dynamic learning exchange.

A field of 136 golfers enjoyed the sun and a good breeze
A very successful day of golf put on by Kevin Knox and tourney chairs, Tina Gray and Eric Park. Over 20 sponsored teams of Cox alumni, faculty, staff and over 20 students competed for prizes and gifts from generous donations from dozens of prize contributors. Duke MBA Rugby World Championships
Thirty Cox students, coaches and team sponsors traveled to the Duke campus for our 11th year of competition. Cox competed in matches against NYC/Stern, Harvard, UC/UCLA (combined) and the London School Tournament Champions: Smurfit School, Dublin, Ireland.
SMU Cox Rugby is already begun recruiting for next year’s tour.
