First-year MBA Students Return from AAGLP with Global Perspective
| ||||||||||||||
For over a decade, the SMU Cox Dean Al Niemi, Jr. and Linda Kao, assistant dean of global programs have delivered one of the most comprehensive global leadership program among all leading business schools.
Thanks to their commitment to ensuring every Cox grad leaves with real-world international experience, 150 first-year MBA students traverse the globe for two weeks every May in order to learn about doing business on an international basis. "By taking the education I received in my first year and utilizing it in a foreign country, I strongly feel that this trip is the best part of the curriculum," Tony Simpson said. Adds fellow MBA student Roberto Flores, "It's true what we were told. The GLP is a trip that will change us for the rest of our life. We may forget what we learn in the classroom but the GLP experience will last forever."

Yet, when he traveled to Ho Chi Min City, Hong Kong, Shenzhen and Shanghai as part of the SMU Cox Global Leadership Program, even this worldly traveler was impressed by what he saw.
