Amit Basu is chair of the information technologies and operations management department. Marion Sobol, professor of information technologies and operations management, specializes in statistics, management information systems, and MIS in health care organizations. She can speak about the use of information technology in healthcare, as it applies to hospitals, and group medical practices. She has done studies on the barriers to the adoption of IT in hospitals, the changes in the usage of IT in hospitals and group medical practices over the past decade and the economic returns to the usage of IT in hospitals.
