Are you interested in pursuing a post-MBA career in marketing? Are you looking for the additional guidance to help you make that happen? If so, you should consider applying for the Cox MBA Marketing Scholars program.
The Cox Marketing Department is providing scholarship funding and program enhancements to guide up to five top students in each entering class toward careers in marketing. Selected candidates will receive:
- A $10,000 total award, applied in installments of $2,500 to each of your four semesters in the Cox MBA program
- One faculty mentor and one practitioner mentor to help you learn more about the industry
- Marketing Department financial sponsorship of attendance at local American Marketing Association (AMA) meetings, including Social Media and Direct Marketing group activities
- Optional opportunity (with applicable funding) to serve as a teaching or research assistant with the Marketing Department beginning in the spring of the first year in the Cox MBA program
Application and Selection Process
The Marketing Scholars application process has closed for Fall 2012. To be considered for this program in Fall 2013, please submit a cover letter expressing your passion for marketing and a current copy of your resume via e-mail to dcornwell@cox.smu.edu by March 1, 2013. Your application for admission into the Cox MBA program must also be submitted no later than the Round 3 (March 1, 2013) deadline. Selected candidates will be invited to meet with a faculty selection panel in April 2013. Award decisions will be announced by the end of April.
