Preferences and Career Fit
What are you good at? What do you like to do? Find out what careers might be right for you. Take a personal assessment. You'll benefit if you take time to consider what you're good at, what you like, and how you might fit into a particular career.
Why? Assessments can help you understand the strengths you bring to a job, find occupations that are a good match with your skill set, see the gap between your skills and those required for the job, write a more effective resume, be better prepared to respond to interview questions, network more effectively and see the direction you want your career to go.
I want to take an assessment. What do I do next?
Contact the Cox Office of Career Services (Maguire 254, phone: 214-768-1943) to obtain the access instructions, including the user name and password, for the online assessments or to schedule a time to take any of the card sort assessments. For any of the paper-based surveys/assessments, simply download and complete. Once you have completed your assessment, please schedule an appointment with one of our Career Consultants to review your results and determine next steps.
