BACHELORS OF BUSINESS ADMINISTRATION (BBA)

Business Scholars Program
The Business Scholars Program was created to identify highly qualified students for admission to the Cox School as first-year students, and to provide them with early access to Cox programs, advisors, and career counselors. The program also provides Business Scholars with activities designed to help them explore the business world.
Business Scholars have:
- Outstanding academic achievement,
- Outstanding SAT/ACT scores,
- Strong leadership skills,
- Strong letters of recommendation, and
- Compelling essays
Scholars come from across the U.S. and from other countries, and represent the strongest business applicants in the incoming class. Approximately 100-120 students enter SMU as Business Scholars each year. Most Business Scholars are members of the University Honors Program, participate in SMU’s study abroad programs, and pursue double majors in fields like economics, dance, sciences, philosophy, English, and communications.
