UNDERGRADUATE PROGRAMS

Undergraduate Programs

The Cox School of Business offers three undergraduate programs:

• The BBA (Bachelor of Business Administration) offers eight different academic majors within business.  Admission is available to entering SMU students through the Business Scholars Program, or to continuing SMU students through grades earned in the business subset courses. 
• The Minor in Business Administration provides a comprehensive introduction to business for SMU students who have majors outside the Cox School. Courses for this minor are taught in conjunction with BBA core courses, and are offered throughout the academic year. Admission to this program is through the grades earned in the business subset courses. 
• The new Minor in Business offers non-Cox students a foundation in business basics to complement their primary areas of academic interest. Courses in this program are taught only during the summer and are open to all non-Cox SMU students. This minor will be available beginning in Summer 2008.

The Cox BBA program is nationally recognized by employers, educators, and major publications, and was recently ranked #23 in the nation by BusinessWeek. 

You can also enhance your undergraduate studies at the Cox School by pursuing one of SMU’s many study abroad programs. More than 35 percent of Cox undergraduate students take advantage of the opportunity to study abroad in year-long, semester, or summer programs.
