Advising
Our Mission
Cox BBA Advising, Records & Special Programs operating within the context of SMU provides high quality service while guiding undergraduate students in their academic pursuits. We strive to enlighten, encourage, and empower students to be successful in a global community. With dedication to integrity, compassion and respect we continuously strive toward professional excellence.
Advisors assist students with course selections, petitions, appropriate Study Abroad experiences, and additional majors and/or minors. Advisors also identify students who struggle academically and refer them for assistance.
Starting in the fall of 2008 students will be assigned a specific advisor in Cox. To make an appointment with an Advisor, phone 214-768-3195.

The Cox BBA advising staff helps students set life and academic goals in order to have a successful experience while pursuing a Cox business major. Students are required to see an Advisor when they enter Cox, and must make advisor contact in person or via email before registration and before adding or dropping a class.
