Technology Support

- General Computer Services

We are aware that computers are becoming increasingly complex.  For Cox students, we offer technical assistance with most issues you may be having with a laptop. 

This assistance is offered on a space-available basis.  Faculty, Staff, and internal issues will take precedence over repairs to student laptops. Please call, email, or stop by to discuss any problems you may be having.  We’ll be able to advise you of the steps necessary to repair your problem and a projected time line. 

If you have a company provided laptop, we may refer you back to your company’s IT staff for additional assistance.

We strongly recommend that you purchase and install a licensed copy of Windows on your laptop, if you have not already done so. 


- Web Space

We offer 10 MB of web space for any officially sponsored Cox related student organization.  If you would like to take advantage of this web space, please have your faculty sponsor send email to support@cox.smu.edu and request the space. 

The email should include the name of the student organization, the name of the student who will be managing the site and the name of a faculty or staff member to contact in case of problems.
