Good Photographs
These are examples of what we consider to be "good" photographs for various areas in the tempate. Serveral items, seperate from aesthetics go into making a "good" photograph.
The first thing to consider is the size of the image. The image must be physically large enough to fill the space in which it is to be placed. If you aren't sure if your image is large enough, you can download this program (it's free) and use it to resize your images to see how they look.

All images for use on the web site must be at least 90 DPI. We strongly recommend that we being the image processing with an image that it at least 300 DPI. This allows us more latitude in how the image is processed and tends to result in a nicer appearance at the end of the process.
The image should also be in focus and not blurry.
The image should also be exposed properly (i.e. not too dark or too light).
If the image is in color, the color should be in balance as well. This means that the "white" areas should be white and the other colors should appear properly as well.
This image is an example of what we consider to be a "good image" from a technical perspective. The focus is crisp. The resolution is sufficient that the image is not pixelated. The lighting is good. The color is even. The white is very white.
