Here are the instructions to print to the BIC Laserjet 8000 from the wireless network
WINDOWS 2000 / XP
1) Click START, then Settings, then click Printers 2) Select Add Printer and click Next 3) Pick the "network printer" radio button and click Next 4) Pick "connect to a printer on the Internet..." and enter the following URL: http://bicprinter.cox.smu.edu/lp1 5) Follow the instructions on the Add Printer Wizard to install an HP Laserjet 8000 (PCL or PS)
WINDOWS ME / 98
Windows ME / 98 is not officially supported. However, IPP-based printing (what this is all about) can be done from a Windows ME or 98 computer. In order to install it, do the following:
1) Browse to http://welcome.hp.com/country/us/en/support.html 2) Pick "Download drivers and software" and enter "Laserjet 8000" in the box, then click >> 3) Pick "HP LaserJet 8000 printer" from the list and follow the instructions to download and unpack the drivers for Windows ME or 98 as appropriate. 4) Next, browse to http://www.hawkingtech.com/images/drivers/wpnpins.exe and save the file to your desktop 5) Run the WPNPINS.EXE installer to install the IPP drivers on the computer 6) Follow the instructions at http://support.microsoft.com/default.aspx?kbid=294439 to connect to the URL: http://bicprinter.cox.smu.edu/lp1
