Instructions* to print to the BIC Laserjet 8000 from a Mac on the wireless network:
1) Click Applications -> Utilities -> Printer setup utility -> Add Printer
2) In the Protocol box select “IPP”
3) In the Address box type the name ‘bicprinter.cox.smu.edu’
4) In Queue box type ‘/lp1’ (forward slash, lower case letter l, lower case letter p, number 1)
5) Make sure the name box matches the address box.
6) Leave ‘Location’ blank
7) Print using: Generic Postscript Printer
* These instructions allow for basic printing. Complex print jobs should be sent from networked computers located in the BIC.
