ACCESSING DATABASES FROM OFF-CAMPUS

Most of the databases may be accessed by first opening the Cox database page or the SMU Libraries database page:

As you connect to a database from either of these pages, you will be asked to supply information to validate that you are an authorized user.

Most databases allow for off-campus access via EZproxy. Enter your last name and 14 digit barcode number from the back of your SMU ID Card when prompted.

A few databases require that connections be validated by having an IP address that is owned by the Univerisity. Such access is possible using dial-up or VPN access through SMU. Technical information about making a connection to the SMU network may be obtained at:
