BUSINESS INFORMATION CENTER

HISTORY
People The Business Information Center (BIC) was founded in 1987 by Sharon Criswell with an initial grant of computer equipment by AT&T. Since that time directors have included: John Criswell, Ellen Ko, Margaret Warner and Paulette Hasier. The present director is Sandal Miller. A number of other librarians have served in the BIC: Marilyn Schulte, Norman Howden, Catherine Daly, Cindy Batman, Linda Baker, Angela Bueche, Yvonne Manby, Brent Bloechle, Janiece Green and Karen Leesberg. Support staff have included Nancy Hong, Mitzi Hennessey, Jennifer Tiemann and Mary Villareal.
Facilities The overall faciltiy has changed little in size. In 1998 much of the office area was renovated to add space for thirteen more computers and to devote space for the Career Management Center Collection. Space continues to be modified to increase group study space.
