Transfer Credit Policy
In certain cases, and at entrance only, the Cox School may grant a maximum of eight credit hours in transfer credits from another AACSB accredited institution. Graduate-level business courses must have been completed at other universities within three years before entry date, as long as the course(s) has not been credited toward a previous degree. The course(s) must be compatible with the Cox MSA degree philosophy. Requests to transfer credit hours will be considered and processed only after the admission deposit has been received. The appropriate department chairperson approves all graduate-level business courses completed at other universities for transfer to SMU. Any course accepted for transfer credit must have been completed with a grade of "B" or better. For more information and forms, contact Bonnie Thiebaud at 214-768-3537.
