SMU Cox Faculty Experts: Organizational Behavior/Human Resources

• Mel Fugate, assistant professor in the Management and Organizations Department, is an expert on employee performance, human resources, and managing organizational change. This includes, but is not limited to: downsizing, restructurings, mergers and acquisitions, and plant closings. Fugate consults with managers to assess the impact of change events on employees and devise action plans to effectively manage the change process. His work focuses on topics such as leadership development, psychology of organizational change, employability, and performance management. • Don VandeWalle, a Professor on the Corrigan Endowment in the Management and Organizations Department, specializes in employee motivation, executive development, leadership and management, organizational behavior, and organizational change.
