What does the Summer Business Institute feature?

  • Emphasis on the hard skills in accounting, finance, marketing, and operations as well as economics, entrepreneurship and business law.
  • Resume development, interviewing activities, and access to on-campus career planning resources.
  • Accomplished Cox instructors who challenge students with high level content throughout the program.

The Summer Business Institute is a four-week non-credit business certificate program for juniors, seniors, and recent graduate non-business majors.

The program starts at the beginning with business basics and helps you broaden your knowledge and understanding of business through in-classroom and out-of-classroom experiences.

You’ll study Accounting, Finance, Marketing, and Operations Management/IT. You’ll also gain hands-on knowledge by going behind the scenes at  area companies located in the thriving business center of Dallas, Texas. 

Career planning activities will include practical components in resume writing and interviewing skills.

You’ll leave the Summer Business Institute armed with the critical business skills, tools, and credentials to help you shine in the workplace and reach your goals.
