LIFE BALANCE: THE PSYCHOLOGY OF EXCELLENCE WITH JOHN ELIOT Aspects of Attitude and Approach that Breed Consistent and Peak Performance
Course Description : Athletes, musicians, and actors aren`t the only people who "perform" at work. We are all performers. The pressures and demands and expected bottom line output is our stage, or our arena if you will. A key to consistently excelling is to understand what it means to be a performer in your career, and then understand the kind of thinking that produces clutch performances of the kind we`re used to seeing from Michael Jordan, Mia Hamm, Tiger Woods, Al Pacino, or Aretha Franklin.
Objectives:
- Understand what it means to be a performer at work
- Distinguish the elements in your career that are preparations and the elements that are performances
- Learn what a performance mindset is and learn how to use it to your advantage
- Learn a philosophical approach to being a performer that will help you maintain consistency (as well as personal satisfaction) when you hit obstacles, setbacks and failures
