Jerry Magar

Currently, Director of Organizational Effectiveness with Southern Methodist University, Jerry brings over 17 years of experience in individual and organizational consulting.  In addition to his role with SMU, he is also a founding partner of People Systems Consulting Group where he works with such clients as: Shell Oil, Dell Computer, JP Morgan Chase, Pioneer Food Mills, Lucent Technologies, and many more large and small clients.  His areas of experience fall in a wide range of categories including leadership development, strategic planning, interpersonal communications, and change management. He has also served as an adjunct faculty member for SMU’s Cox School of Business teaching organizational development and change in the undergraduate and MBA programs.

Jerry holds Certification and Master Certification designations for over 25 programs and assessment instruments and has certified hundreds of trainers across the United States and Canada.  Combining an educational background in Speech Communication and Organization Development with his hands-on business experience in marketing, public relations and business development, Jerry brings a sense of real-world application to his work.
