EXECUTIVE EDUCATION

Cutting-edge ideas
Professional sports people and business executives have a lot in common when it comes to what they need to be a success, according to
David Lei, academic director for
Leading Tomorrow’s Business. “To be the most effective, both individuals must be willing to train, be open to new ideas and practices, and be disciplined in their approach,” he says. “Leading Tomorrow’s Business does that for business executives.”
The 12-week series provides managers with an important look at some of the cutting edge ideas and practices likely to define the competitive and organizational landscapes of tomorrow. It also offers a broad survey of select topics and subject areas such as marketing, accounting and management that lay the foundation for many business school degree programs.
“Upon completion of the program, participants will develop a better appreciation of how different parts of the organization interrelate and impact one another,” he says. “They’ll also understand the issues and concerns managers face from different parts of the organization.”
