EXECUTIVE EDUCATION

Women in Motion: The Future of Leadership
LEADERSHIP DEVELOPMENT PROGRAM

Executive Coaching

There will be two hours of executive coaching with each of the four modules for the program for a total of eight full hours of coaching for the entire program, spanning one year. SMU will also offer additional hours between modules or a standalone six month executive coaching program.

The primary purpose of the SMU Women in Motion Executive Coaching module is to take what is taught in the classroom environment and integrate new approaches based on this into what they do each day. The purpose of the six month standalone coaching program will be based on leadership development with goals determined by the sponsor, participant, and coach. Research has shown coaching to be an excellent support mechanism to maximizing the return on investment for learning. Coaching is a proven method to create stronger leadership and greater business results. The coaching will include:

  • An initial telephone meeting with the sponsor, participant and coach to determine goals and measurements.
  • Two hours to be used in whatever increments the participant chooses based on agreed upon time schedules.
  • A meeting at the conclusion of the coaching engagement with the sponsor, participant, and coach to review results.

All coaches possess the following professional coaching credentials:
1.    ICF accreditation or trained and certified by an ICF accredited school.
2.    No less than 5 years of executive coaching experience.
3.    Accredited by and experienced using the HayGroup Climate and Management Styles assessments.
