Why SMU? Several people in our organization had attended SMU Cox Executive Education seminars, and the feedback was very positive. Our human resources group met with SMU and looked at how we could maximize training to fit our specific needs. Together they developed a three-level approach: the first focuses on interpersonal skills; the second level targets mid-level managers and focuses on introducing accounting and financial analysis business concepts; and our third level is the senior executive seminar for oil and gas. The key component is that we took modules and components from SMU’s open enrollment seminars and adapted them to fit our business needs.”
