Annual Alumni Awards

Dean Al Niemi consistently says, “Our success is measured by the success of our alumni.” Each year we celebrate the success of our alumni during our Distinguished Alumni and Distinguished Young Alumni awards ceremony.
Distinguished alumni are nominated by alumni, friends, parents, faculty, administrators, and corporate and community partners.
Criteria for distinguished alumni are as follows:

A Distinguished Alumnus(a) award nominee should:

• hold a position of distinguished in business, government, or academia;
• have demonstrated outstanding success in his or her field;
• be a graduate of the Cox School of Business; and
• be a recognized civic leader.

An Outstanding Young Alumnus(a) award nominee should:

• be a graduate of the Cox School of Business,
• be 40 years of age or younger,
• hold a position of responsibility and have a demonstrated history of success,
• show a promising future in business, and
• be active in his or her community.

A resume or vita of the nominee and a letter of recommendation must accompany all nominations. The letter may come from the nominee's family member, friend, or business colleague. Alumni may nominate themselves; all nominations are confidential. Please send inquiries and nominations to:
