Richard Howell

Richard Howell has extensive experience with public company reporting, SEC filings, auditing and internal controls as well as with risk management.

Mr. Howell served as an Audit Partner for 28 years of his 37 year career with Arthur Andersen LLP. Currently, he is a trustee for LKCM Funds and on the Board of Directors of Red Robin Gourmet Burgers, Inc. He also practices as a consultant in financial controls, reporting and disputes.  Most recently, he has taught as adjunct faculty in auditing for the Cox School of Business/SMU and, prior to that, The Neely School of Business/TCU. 

Mr. Howell has worked with clients in the oil & gas, manufacturing, retail, real estate and healthcare industries.  In addition, he is experienced in working with Sarbanes-Oxley requirements & compliance.

Mr. Howell has a BBA and MBA from the University of Wisconsin. He is a member of the National Association of Corporate Directors. He is also a member of the AICPA and Texas Society of CPA’s and is a licensed CPA in Texas, Colorado and Wisconsin.
