Evrim Akdogu is an Assistant Professor of Finance at the Cox School of Business at Southern Methodist University, where she joined the faculty in 2003. Professor Akdogu holds a B.S. in Mathematics and International Business from Linfield College, and a Ph.D. in Mathematical Finance from Washington University in Saint Louis. Her research interests include theoretical and empirical corporate finance, mergers and acquisitions, corporate investments and product markets. Dr. Akdogu’s current projects investigate the impact of an industry’s competitive structure and its rivals’ actions on a firm’s corporate investment and acquisition decisions. She has published in the Journal of Financial and Quantitative Analysis and presented her work at numerous conferences and universities.
