The Finance Department is proud of its academic excellence in teaching and research and also its close involvement with the professional business community. The department offers an intellectually rigorous, state-of-the-art program of study in finance theory and practice at both the undergraduate and MBA level. Important activities and programs sponsored by the finance department include: (1) The Graduate Finance Certificate Program is a non-degree, evening program for professionals seeking additional exposure to a breadth of finance topics; (2) The Women's Financial Series provides an important network to the Dallas community; and (3) The Ann Rife Cox and Nancy Underwood Endowment Funds are invested by honors undergraduate and advanced MBA students enrolled in the Practicum courses in Portfolio Management.
