This course applies and extends the tools of modern game theory that are introduced in FINA 6206. The course provides a framework for recognizing the basic types of strategic situations that confront management and a systematic approach for identifying effective competitive strategies. The principles of cooperative versus non-cooperative behavior, pure versus mixed strategies, reputation-building, repeated interaction, first-mover advantage, coordination, and alternative equilibrium outcomes are examined.
