This course provides an overview of telecommunications and networking technologies, and their use in modern society and busi¬ness. Specific topics include the impact of digital communications, fiber optics and photonics, wireless and mobile communications, networking protocols and architectures, the Internet, strategic and policy issues, security and privacy in data communications. (This course is offered on an irregular basis.)
