  Course Description:  
   
 
This course focuses on decision making at the strategic business unit level by top managers. The course is designed to allow students to utilize all skills learned thus far in the program and apply them to a broad array of business policy problems. The student will be asked to place herself or himself in the position of decision maker to set corporate strategy in specific situations. Cases will be drawn from a variety of industries and situations and will involve all facets of corporate strategy including marketing, operations, finance, information technology and organizational structure. Emphasis will be placed on understanding the competitive dynamics of the current environment and recommending strategy considering the resources at the organization’s disposal. The course will be entirely discussion-based, case method with occasional supplemental readings.
