Marci Armstrong


Marci Armstrong joined the Cox School of Business in Fall 1998 as Associate Dean for Graduate Programs. Her responsibilities include the internationally ranked full-time MBA, Professional MBA, Executive MBA, MA/MBA in Arts Administration, JD/MBA, and MS in Accounting programs. Functional areas of responsibility include admissions, student services, international programs, and career management.

A six-time teaching award honoree, Marci teaches Marketing courses to Cox School MBA students and is also an experienced executive education instructor and consultant. She has focused most recently on strategic and measurement issues of Customer Relationship Management (CRM) to create and maximize customer loyalty and profitability. Over the last decade, her consulting and executive education clients have included EDS, Nortel Networks, Andersen Consulting (now Accenture), Anheuser Busch, Boeing, Monsanto, Edward Jones, SBC Communications, GreatBanc, National Cachecard, Sold on St. Louis, Maritz, Tripos Associates, ChemLime, and the Mechanical and Service Contractors Association.

Prior to joining SMU, Marci was a marketing faculty member and administrator at the Olin School of Business, Washington University. Marci holds aPh.D. in Management Science (focused on solving marketing problems with quantitative methods) from the University of Texas at Dallas. Previous corporate experience includes financial services at Texas Commerce Bank and non-profit marketing at the Museum of Northern Arizona.
