“The Cox School was honored to co-sponsor the Corporate Relay Challenge with Behringer Harvard at the 2007 Wellstone’s Dallas White Rock Marathon,” said Albert W. Niemi, Jr., dean of SMU Cox. “We are committed to strengthening the community in which we live and work, and this event allows us to do so by supporting the noble work of Texas Scottish Rite Hospital for Children.”
“In creating the Corporate Relay Challenge, the marathon board of trustees sought out world-class corporate partners who shared a common vision for the event and understood the positive impact it would have on participating companies, their employees and, most importantly, the children at Texas Scottish Rite Hospital for Children,” said Chuck Dannis, chairman of the 2007 Wellstone’s Dallas White Rock Marathon. “The partnership between SMU Cox and Behringer Harvard allowed us to reach new heights this year in terms of participation. And, because prize money donations were given to more than just the fastest team, the Corporate Relay Challenge allowed numerous corporate participants to make meaningful contributions to the hospital and have a lot of fun at the same time.”
