SMU Cox School of Business Hosts 12 th Annual Part-Time MBA Conference
Dallas (SMU) — SMU Cox School of Business is pleased to host the 12 th Annual Part-Time MBA Conference, held October 20 – 21 in the newly opened James M. Collins Executive Education Center. The conference is hosted by two Cox programs for working professionals – the Professional MBA program and the Lockheed Martin MBA program.
Started in 1994 by the Deans at the Kellstadt School of Business (DePaul University), Stern School of Business (NYU) and the Robinson School of Business (Georgia State), this annual conference has offered deans, associate/assistant deans, and directors of part-time MBA programs the chance to share information, compare notes and remain current with the latest thinking in management education for working professionals.
“As more than 80 percent of today's MBA students are choosing programs for working professionals over the traditional full-time MBA, it is critical that PMBA deans and directors come together to ensure we are providing the highest-quality education possible – one designed to produce the business leaders of tomorrow,” said Dr. Marci Armstrong, associate dean of masters programs at SMU Cox School of Business. “The Cox school is honored to host this event, which appropriately will be held in the Collins Center – our new home for working professionals.”
As with past conferences, the goal is to establish a collaborative forum that promotes both networking and the exchange of information and ideas. Part-time MBA programs today face many challenges in the rapidly evolving global marketplace. It is more important than ever for us to come together to benchmark, share best practices, and look beyond current practice to the future of management education for working professionals.
Topics to be discussed include:
• Building Community in Part-Time MBA Programs
• Voice of the Customer: Professional MBAs
• Differentiate to Win: Branding and Positioning Your Part-Time MBA Program
• Part-Time MBA Program Enhancements
• Part-Time MBA Curricular Innovation
• Creative Marketing Tactics for Part-Time MBA Programs
