Cox School’s Bank of Texas Business Leaders Spotlight Series Welcomes James F. Berry, President, Lockheed Martin Missiles and Fire Control
Dallas, Texas (SMU) – The SMU Cox School of Business Bank of Texas Business Leaders Spotlight Series welcomes James F. Berry, president, Lockheed Martin Missiles and Fire Control Thursday, March 31. Berry will be presenting “Lockheed Martin Missiles and Fire Control: A Company Transforming” at 5:00 p.m. in the Ernst & Young Gallery at SMU’s Dallas campus.
Lockheed Martin Missiles and Fire Control develops, manufactures, and supports advanced combat, missile, rocket, and space systems. The company is organized in five program/mission areas: strike weapons, air and missile defense, fire control, tactical missiles, and product development.
Berry has served as president of Lockheed Martin Missiles and Fire Control since 1997. His substantial experience in general management, program management, engineering, and operations management in leading edge, high technology companies has earning him industry recognition in major business program recovery and both top and bottom line results.
Before becoming president, Berry served as vice president of technology for Lockheed Martin’s Electronics Sector for three years. Prior to that, he was vice president and general manager of the C-17 program at McDonnell Douglas Corporation. From 1986 to 1990, Berry held increasingly responsible posts at Northrop Corporation, serving as vice president of production engineering, followed by assignments as vice president of operations for the B-2 Division of Northrop Corporation. Berry holds an MBA from Pepperdine University, and previously spent 20 years at Rockwall Space, with major program management responsibilities on the Apollo, Apollo Soyuz, Space Shuttle and Space Station programs.
