The National Black MBA Association Dallas – Fort Worth Chapter to Host the 4 th Annual Leaders of Tomorrow National Case Competition for high school students.

DALLAS (SMU) – The Dallas- Fort Worth chapter of the National Black MBA Association (NBMBAA) will host its fourth annual Leaders of Tomorrow National Case Competition, sponsored by ExxonMobil. The event will be held in Dallas , Texas on June 24 th - 26 th 2005, with students arriving at the Radisson Central Dallas Hotel on Friday night. This year's competition will take place on Saturday June 25, 2005 at Southern Methodist University Cox School's of Business. First Round Competition will begin at 9:00am.

The chapters of the NBMBAA have high school mentoring programs called the Leaders of Tomorrow (LOT). This competition involves one team of four LOT students from each chapter who are presenting a business case analysis and competing for scholarship money, which includes a first prize of $4,000 ($1,000 per student). This year 14 teams from across the country will be analyzing the Black Entertainment Television (BET) acquisition by Viacom and making recommendations for the future direction of the television channel.

The Leaders of Tomorrow National Case Competition is a vehicle that:

• Increases the analytical and presentation skills of minority high school students;

• Orientates students to the quality and detail of work expected in graduate school;

• Expands interaction between high school students and professionals proficient in marketing, finance, management, logistics and human resources; and

• Exposes minority high school students to corporate culture.

Thanks to ExxonMobil's generosity, the 3 rd Annual LOT National Case Competition was a rousing success, providing NBMBA the ability to award $6,000 in scholarships and that amount has been increased for 2005. In all, Exxonmobil has given more than $40,000 in sponsorship money to this worthy event.

The event will be held from 8:00 a.m. – 5:00 p.m. on Saturday June 25 th . The first round of competition will begin promptly at 9:00am.
