SMU'S COX SCHOOL OF BUSINESS CONTINUES ACADEMIC EXCELLENCE Business Week Ranks Cox Among The Top 20 Executive MBA Programs In The Nation
DALLAS, Texas - BusinessWeek magazine, for the first time since 1991, included a full ranking of the top
MBA programs for executives worldwide. The Cox School placed among the top 20 Executive Programs in the nation. Based on customer satisfaction, the ranking surveyed thousands of graduating executive
MBAs, as well as program directors. Cox students ranked the Executive
MBA program #1in entrepreneurship and #7 in leadership.
"The latest Business Week ranking not only acknowledges the importance of
executive education, but recognizes our leading position in the development of our Executive
MBA program," said Albert W. Niemi, Jr., dean of the Cox School. "Cox is committed to providing executives an education that can take their careers to the next level."
The strength of the Cox Executive
MBA, the strong applicant pool in Dallas, and the continued support of the Dallas business community has been instrumental in continuing the success of the EMBA program. Graduates of the 2001 EMBA class completed the school year with a $1 million class gift, the first gift from an EMBA class and the largest gift from a graduating class. This year the Cox School extended the EMBA program to include two graduating classes, increasing the program by almost 40 percent.
The Cox Executive
MBA program has been in existence since 1976. Students are required to have a minimum of 10 years of professional experience with significant managerial experience and measurable career success. The 21-month program is conducted at the Cox School on alternating Fridays and Saturdays. For additional information, please call 214-768-1214 or visit the school's Web site at
