John S. Taylor, director of research for National Venture Capital Association. The National Venture Capital Association (NVCA) represents more than 300 venture capital and private equity firms. Established in 1973, the NVCA fosters a better understanding of the important impact venture capital has on the U.S. economy and works to stimulate the flow of private risk equity capital to developing companies. Today, the NVCA is the venture community's leading source of advocacy, networking, professional development and information. In the first half of 2000, more than $54 million was invested to fund 3500 companies.

The Southwest Venture Forum is a non-profit forum where entrepreneurs seeking to start or build a business can meet with sources of capital and professionals to facilitate the acquisition of financing and to obtain advice and information. The membership includes entrepreneurs, venture capitalists, bankers, attorneys, trade association representatives, accountants, and consultants who have experience working with early and intermediate stage growth-oriented entrepreneurs and their firms.
An "information table" is provided for individuals desiring to convey information to the entire group. Feel free to place resumes, meeting announcements, or information literature on these tables.
