PULITZER PRIZE-WINNING AUTHOR PRESENTS KEYNOTE ADDRESS AT ENERGY SYMPOSIUM ON INFORMATION TECHNOLOGY
Information Technology has become an important strategic weapon in an energy industry that finds itself fighting for survival. Using information technology to effect short-term cost reductions has become increasingly critical. The path to these benefits, however, is strewn with management pitfalls.
The Cox School’s Maguire Oil and Gas Institute announces its 1999 Energy Policy Symposium, "Frontiers to Energy Industry Information Management," featuring Daniel Yergin, Pulitzer Prize-winning author of The Prize: The Epic Quest for Oil and Power.
In addition to Dr. Yergin, this seminar will bring together industry experts to discuss the latest trends in effective, cost-efficient use of information technology in the oil and gas industry. The conference is co-sponsored by EDS and Ernst & Young, LLP.
