WHO: Raymond J. Lane, President and COO of Oracle Corporation. Oracle Corporation is the second-largest software company in the world and the leader in enterprise software and services. Oracle offers unique solutions to challenges faced within many facets of business, including e-business, customer relationship management, and finance and procurement. Oracle has experienced phenomenal growth during the past decade that Lane has been a leader in the corporation. Revenues have soared from $1 billion seven years ago to over $8 billion today. Lane started his career with Oracle in 1992 as president of Oracle USA. He then became executive vice president of Oracle Corp., then president of Worldwide Operations, and finally president and chief operating officer. Prior to joining Oracle, Lane worked with IBM in product management and marketing positions. After serving as a division vice president at EDS, Lane joined Booz Allen & Hamilton. During his 12-year career at Booz Allen & Hamilton, Lane led the information Systems Group as creator and senior vice president.
