SMU's Cox School Announces
Graduate Marketing Certificate Program Registration
(Dallas) – Marketing professionals as well as those in other functional areas of business life have benefited over the last ten years from the fast-paced Graduate Marketing Certificate Program offered by The Center for Marketing Management Studies at the Cox School of Business. Increased marketing competency is achieved through presentations by Cox faculty and guest lecturers, classroom discussion, and a team-based marketing simulation experience that is rarely offered outside the MBA classroom. Registration for the next class session is beginning now.
A graduate of the 98/99 Certificate class, Mr. Coy Sevier, General Manager, Southwest Festivals, Inc. (Scarborough Faire), said, "just a few of the ideas I had during class increased our attendance in the Fall Festival by over 10%." This course attracts participants from Fortune 500 corporations, mid-size companies, and entrepreneurial start-up businesses. Metroplex businesses know the value of the Graduate Marketing Certificate Program. The following companies were represented by two or more participants in the 98/99 class: The Associates Commercial Group, AT&T, EDS, GTE, Nokia, and Nortel.
This course is presented by the same Cox professors and prominent guest lecturers as featured in the nationally ranked Cox School of Business MBA program. The program covers a variety of topics that are essential for marketing success today, such as electronic commerce, database marketing, service quality, pricing, and segmentation.
A maximum of 75 students are admitted to the program each year. Limited enrollment allows one-to-one interaction with faculty, guest lecturers, and other participants.
To accommodate busy executive schedules, the course is offered on Monday evenings 6:30 – 9:00 P.M. over three consecutive eight-week trimesters. The first trimester will begin on Monday, September 13. For more information, please call Barbara Campbell at (214) 768-2722 or jmilazzo@cox.smu.edu .
A similarly structured Graduate Finance Certificate Program for those interested in increasing financial competency and skills is also offered beginning September 14. For information, call Jeanne Milazzo at (214) 768-4155.
