LEARNING FOR A CHANGE: HOW TO LEAD THE WAY
IN TODAY’S FAST-PACED MARKET”
Who: Dr. Peter Senge, described as a “connoisseur of change,” is a senior lecturer at the Sloan School of Management at Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT). He is author of the widely acclaimed book, “The Fifth Discipline: The Art and Practice of The Learning Organization.” His latest work is “The Dance of Change: The Challenges to Sustaining Momentum in Learning Organizations.” He has been widely featured in leading business periodicals including The Harvard Business Review, Business Week, Fast Company, Training Magazine, and many others. Fortune Magazine describes Peter Senge as “the intellectual and spiritual champion of the learning organization.”
What: During this day-long seminar, Dr. Senge will present his concepts on how a great learning organization can be built and sustained. Dr. Senge characterizes learning organizations as having superior employee performance, truthful dialogue, unwavering commitment to quality and excellence, and exceptional customer service. Seminar attendees will include executives, managers, team leaders, educators, and community volunteer. The seminar is designed to be a totally interactive experience.
Why: Dr. Senge will introduce the tools of a Learning Organization and engage participants in interactive exercises and dialogue to allow them to practice his concepts. He will use examples from well known corporations including British Petroleum, Chrysler, DuPont, Ford, General Electric, and Harley-Davidson.
The focus of the seminar is to assist participants in attracting and retaining high quality employees, increasing productivity, introducing innovative techniques, and staying on top of what’s new in industry.
