Cox School Announces Collins Economic Forum Premiere Event
WHAT: The Collins Economic Forum was established with the Cox School of Business this year as an ongoing speaker series designed to inform business leaders on current affairs and to advocate economic policies that promote free enterprise. The forum is underwritten by the Collins Family Foundation and the Today Foundation.
WHEN: Wednesday, February 3, 1999, 12:00 – 1:30 p.m.

WHO: A. Marshall Acuff, Jr., managing director of Salomon Smith Barney Inc., one of the nation’s largest financial services firms, will address "1999 Boom or Bust?," the outlook for world stock markets in 1999 and beyond. Acuff joined Salomon Smith Barney in 1966. As a member of the firm’s Investment Policy Coordinating Committee he is responsible for equity strategy.
Mr. Acuff is a thirteen-time member of the Institutional Investor magazine’s All-American Team. He is frequently quoted by the media and writes a monthly column for the Japan Economic Journal.
Mr. Acuff is a Chartered Financial Analyst and a member of the Institute of Chartered Financial Analysts. He is a fellow of the Association for Investment Management & Research and a member of the New York Society of Security Analysts of which he is a past director. He is a graduate of William and Mary College of which he is currently a member of the Board of Visitors and the University of Michigan Graduate School of Business Administration.
HOW: This event is open to the public. Single tickets are $50 and tables of 8 are $400.
