COX SCHOOL ANNOUNCES SPEAKERS FOR THE BANK OF TEXAS BUSINESS LEADERS SPOTLIGHT SERIES
This spring the Bank of Texas Business Leaders Spotlight Series will present a full slate of corporate executives to SMU’s campus to address Cox students as well as the Dallas community.

WEDNESDAY, JANUARY 12: Douglas Aldrich is managing director and vice president of the global E-Services Unit and Strategic Information Technology Practice of A.T. Kearney, one of the world’s largest consulting firms. He leads A.T. Kearney’s initiatives in electronic business consulting. In this role, he is responsible for global research into current best practices and future growth opportunities. Aldrich is the author of Mastering the Digital Marketplace: Practical Strategies for Competitiveness in the New Economy.
TUESDAY, FEBRUARY 22: Douglas Hawthorne is president and chief executive officer of Texas Health Resources, the largest integrated health care organization in Texas. Texas Health Resources was formed in 1997 with the merger of Presbyterian Healthcare Resources and Harris Methodist Health System. At the helm of Texas Health Resources, Hawthorne oversees a network of 12 acute-care hospitals, two affiliate hospitals, home health services, fitness centers, urgent care and long-term care facilities, senior medical centers, helicopter air ambulances, a medical research organization, and other health-related ventures.
THURSDAY, APRIL 16: Raymond Lane is president and chief operating officer of Oracle Corporation, the second-largest software company in the world and the leading enterprise software and services company. Lane is responsible for planning, communicating, and implementing policy and strategy decisions formulated by the firm’s executive committee. Prior to being name president and COO, Lane was executive vice president of Oracle Corp. and president of Worldwide Operations.
The Bank of Texas Business Leaders Spotlight Series brings business leaders from major corporations to the community to share their personal and corporate strategies for success in today’s competitive climate. Typically speakers are CEOs of Fortune 1000 companies.
Each event is preceded with a reception, offering guests opportunities for networking with other members of the audience as well as with the speaker and Cox faculty and staff. Programs are held in Arthur Andersen Gallery of the Fincher Building on the SMU Campus. The reception begins at 5:00 p.m. followed by the presentation at 5:30 p.m. A question and answer period concludes the formal program.
