FASTEST-GROWING PRIVATE COMPANIES IN NORTH TEXAS AREA SOUGHT FOR 9TH ANNUAL DALLAS 100 AWARDS
Upcoming Application Deadline is September 1, 1999
WHAT: The Caruth Institute for Owner-Managed Business at SMU’s Cox School of Business in partnership with the CEO Institute is currently seeking nominations and applications for the 9th Annual Dallas 100 Awards Competition. Application and nomination forms may be obtained by calling Patricia Kriska at the Caruth Institute at 214-768-3326 or by accessing the Dallas 100 website at www.dallas100.com
Businesses must be located in the North Texas area, have had sales of at least $500,000 and not more than $30,000,000 in fiscal year 1996, and have a three-year sales history with an increase in fiscal 1998. A business may self-nominate or be nominated by an individual not associated with the business.
These awards recognize the fastest-growing private companies in the North Texas area. Award winners will be selected based on increased growth in sales, giving weight to percentage of growth and absolute dollar growth between 1996 and 1998. The deadline for entries is September 1, 1999.
Past recipients have included such well-known and successful businesses as OnRamp Technologies, CapRock Communications Corp., Monitronics International, Inc., Universal Sports America, Inc. Pavestone Company L.P. and Texas Land & Cattle Steak House. "These companies and the many winners from previous years have made significant contributions to the North Texas area by generating thousands of new jobs, increasing the tax base, and fostering the area’s reputation as a premier economic development center," said Jerry White, director of the Caruth Institute.
WHEN/WHERE: Winners will receive their awards at a dinner on Tuesday, October 26, at the Morton H. Meyerson Symphony Center. A special CEO reception will also be held on Thursday, September 30, at the Cox School of Business and will offer winners the opportunity to meet fellow award recipients in a more relaxed setting.
Additional award sponsors include Bank One, Texas, NA; Bustin & Co; Carr & Storm; CHAPTEC Solutions Company; The Dallas Morning News; Gleason/Calise Associates; King Griffin & Adamson PC; McCord Printing; Noel/Greaves Inc; Romac International, Inc; Smith & Frank; and Southwest Securities.
